Founded in 2015, Subbotnik operates as a socio-cultural center in Chemnitz. The former school canteen offers plenty of space for events of all kinds: workshops, concerts and readings, as well as a regular vegan SoKü and a vegan café await your visit! You're not under any pressure to consume, but can simply be there and surf the internet, browse through our feminist library or relax in our hammock.

As a socio-cultural center, Subbotnik not only lives from its visitors, but also from the many different actors and groups who fill our open spaces with ideas and actively use them. Whether it's a plenum, queer cinema or dance group - we help you turn your plans into reality. Our (open) spaces include a large hall, seminar room, a pub, workshops and a large catering kitchen. The Subbotnik thrives on the participation of everyone and should therefore also be a safer space - anti-fascism, anti-racism and anti-sexism form the framework for respectful interaction with each other in our & your premises.
